Welcome to the 2026 GLSC Peanut Regatta! Fun, flexible racing on Grand Lake with real-time tracking and easy scoring. Each boat receives a handicap and a join link. Racing is tracked with the Regatta Hero app (iOS & Android), which also powers live viewing from home or the clubhouse.
How it works
- Courses & start times are posted the Wednesday of each regatta week. Expect varied start windows to suit wind and participation, plus occasional pursuit/chase starts or an “anytime” format where you can start and run the course within a defined daytime window.
- Courses use fixed marks and landmarks around the lake (e.g., Two Tree Island, Weed Island, Bad Island, Harbor Village, Terra Miranda, Honey Creek Landing, Saddle Island, Sailboat Bridge, The Landings). See the Official Map at the clubhouse.
- Rules & spirit: Basic Rules of Sailing apply, with an emphasis on avoiding contact, good judgment, and good sportsmanship.
Scoring & awards
Series scoring lets you race one, a few, or all events and still stay competitive:
- 4 pts 1st • 3 pts 2nd • 2 pts 3rd • 1 pt participant • 0 non-participant.
- Weekly winners earn a Bag of Peanuts; the yearly series winner gets a Large Bag of Peanuts. (and bragging rights!)
