It’s been an active week!
‘A’ dock is actually looking like an a real dock as the crew has been hard at assembly of it, now brace yourselves, like building a house that gets all framed up and then seems to sit in one spot, it is time for the tedious ‘finishing up’ things to start happening and it may look like they took a break but it will be getting worked on. I ordered tiles and rub rail yesterday and the electric and water crew is standing by for installation soon. I have been very happy with the crew from ‘The Dock Guys’ so far.
We had a lively bunch at last Friday’s social and then 6 boats were out for the 5th Peanut Regatta last Saturday. Congratulations to Stephen Featherman as he took home the big bag of Hampton Farms peanuts in the A fleet and congratulations to David Mercer for grabbing the big bag for the B fleet. We do thank our series sponsors, Hampton Farms, for donating the prizes.
The BYOB (bring your own beef) cookout after the Regatta was a bunch of fun, the 6 captains all grilled for their crews and a hearty meal was served up in the cool confines of the clubhouse. A big thanks goes out to the ladies that had the clubhouse all setup for the crews to cool off and enjoy their meal.
The next Peanut Regatta is August 23rd, make plans now to come join us!
