Friday Social
Friday Social is at 6pm (on Friday). As usual, a menu list will go around so everyone can coordinate what to bring. Friday socials are being well attended — now how do I get that many people out sailing at one time….hmmmm 🤔
Club Polo Shirts
We’ve had several inquiries about the yellow polo shirts that members typically wear for events where the public is invited, so our secretary Kit Hines did the leg work. Here’s where you can get one for yourself if you are so inclined:
- Polo shirts with the Grand Lake Sailing Club logo embroidered on them are available from DarLynn Embroidery in Grove.
- Available in a choice of colors and in women’s and men’s sizes.
- Prices vary from $25 – $35.

Racing This Saturday
This Saturday is Race #6 in the Peanut Regatta series, so line up your crew and come join the fun! Captains meeting at 10am with the race to follow. The course will be announced at that time. You can always check the Events & Calendar page for what’s coming up.
Birthday Party After the Races
After the Peanut Regatta our very own Rod Sipe will be throwing a birthday party for himself, and you are invited. Rod is preparing some Cajun dishes and desserts — you’ll need to bring the sides.
An RSVP was requested by Thursday, August 20, with your last name, number in your party, and what you plan to bring. Members can find the RSVP details in the Commodore’s email, or reach out through our Contact Us page.
I am hoping the weather will tone it down soon and we lose the triple digits.
