Race 3 of the 2025 Peanut Regattas!

Peanut Regattas will use a boat tracking program that will track your (or another) cell phone on the boat.
Regatta Hero for both IOS and Android formats. It will provide realtime tracking and scoring of boat participants. It also will provide a live stream of the action for those at home or at the Club House.
Each Boat will be GIVEN a handicap and link to join the Regatta.
Race Format:
Race Courses and Starting times will be posted on Wednesday of the Peanut Regatta. There will be 9 Race dates (4th Saturday of the month) starting in March and ending in November.
Peanut Regattas will feature a variety of start times (to allow for travel, better winds conditions and more participation. Example: Captains meeting at 10 and race starts at 11 or Captains meeting at 12 and race starts at 1, Some dates will also feature Pursuit or Chase starts and a new format of being able to start and run the course anytime between 8am and 6pm. All to be announced the Wednesday before each Peanut Regatta.
Race Courses will feature destinations using fixed marks or items (Buoys, Islands, etc):
Two Tree Island, Weed Island, Bad Island, Harbor Village, Terra Miranda, Honey Creek Landing, Saddle Island, Going Under Sailboat Bridge, The Landings. Each of these will be posted on the ‘Official Map’ of the GLSC Club House.
Basic Rules of Sailing will apply with the ultimate goal to avoid boat contact and damage. The Good Sportsmanship of Yachting will be in place and the use of good judgement and spirit of cooperation and competition.
Scoring will be as follows to allow boats to compete in one, two or all the events with an accumulation of events with the end of year total determine the overall Peanut Regatta Winner.
