Commodore’s Update
Whew, what a week—and it looks like the weather will be “summer” again next week. Hopefully we’ll get some much-needed rain this weekend.
Upcoming Events
- Friday Social — 6:00 PM in the clubhouse. Mary and I will be glad to be back in attendance! Sounds like there was a great group on hand last week… awesome sauce.
Club News
We put a wrap on the 70th annual Tulsa Boat, Sport & Travel Show yesterday, and stayed hooked up on Monday getting all the props back where they belong. The teardown crew was amazing—they had the booth disassembled and loaded up in about 15 minutes.
A massive thank you to all the members who volunteered their time to man the booth. We really enjoyed the visits, getting to know some newer members, and catching up with long-time friends. Photos of the crew are posted on the club’s Facebook group.
I’m calling the week a success—we did a lot of networking with other sailors and Grand Lake neighbors, and we’re excited about some future possibilities for GLSC.
Friendly Reminder
If you’re planning to move your boat in the yard, please give the Vice Commodore or Harbor Master a quick heads-up first. It helps the team keep track of staging and placements and keeps things running smoothly—thank you!
See you at the club… or better yet, on the water!
