November Updates

Winter is coming! but it ain’t here yet………the weather and wind have been very cooperative lately. Thank goodness for the recent rainfall, we were certainly dry but a little rain goes a long way.

D dock is finished and Broadway is fully refloated!  The last cleats on D have been installed. 2 down and one to go, they should start disassembly of A dock soon. Hopefully A dock is a bit simpler with fingers on only one side but we shall see.  We’re starting to see a small light at the end of the tunnel.

Final race of the fall series was November 9th, the day started pretty dreary with misty rain and light winds but quickly cleared off and the picked up nicely. Great sailing day, there 2 in the A fleet and 4 in the B fleet. B fleet had some very close racing and I was able to get pictures of them 3 wide they were so close to each other.

Saturday evening had the clubhouse full for the Annual Membership business meeting then the ‘Good bye to the Lake-Hello to the Clubhouse’ party. Lots of soups and sandwiches along with a full table of desserts were on hand. A rousing good time was had by all present. We had some our newest members on hand.

It has been a great year. I look forward to more progress in the upcoming new year. Thank you for the trust you have put in me as your Commodore and here’s to a successful 2025.
