Well, I somehow lost a day this week and forgot to get the weekly update out on time — better late than never!
Friday Social is back to normal at 6pm — I’ll post a menu thread on the Facebook page, feel free to reply there as well.

- Fun Flotilla this Saturday — Captain’s meeting at 10am in the clubhouse.
- Mark your calendars for August 22nd: Race #6 in the Peanut Regatta series, followed by a Cajun-themed celebration for Rod Sipe’s 80th birthday. Stay tuned for details.
Club News
The Grove Wine Share was a big hit last Friday with a great turnout on the clubhouse deck. A big welcome to Paul and Jean Smith, who submitted their fleet member application while attending and were approved at the Board of Governors meeting the next morning.
Another welcome goes out to Kevin Banks as a new Fleet member. Kevin joined us as a guest at a Friday Social a few weeks back, went sailing with Fleet Master Claude Phelps, and hopes to get back out on the water soon.
Last Saturday’s “Smoke on the Water” was a success — six sailboats and a pontoon rafted up in the back of Courthouse Hollow to swim, visit, grill out, and enjoy a relaxing afternoon. Thanks also to the Frears for swinging through and saying hello.
Reminders
Officer elections are coming up — several Board seats will need to be filled as some of our members move on to new adventures. If you’re interested in serving on the Board in any capacity, please reach out.
