Say it with me… it’s Wednesday!
The Friday Social will be at 6pm. I’ll start a menu post on Facebook, or you can reply here and I’ll post it for you. Fridays have been action-packed lately, with at least 20 and sometimes more than 30 in attendance — come join us!
I hope everyone had a fun and safe Memorial Day weekend.
The 3rd Peanut Regatta launched last Saturday. With no wind, the threat of holiday boat traffic, and a rain front heading toward Grand Lake, it didn’t look good — there was even some discussion about putting it off for a week. Ultimately it was decided to give it a shot, and boy was it a good day! ‘A’ fleet had 3 boats and ‘B’ fleet had 2. The wind piped up and stayed at a very nice tempo and angle for about 1.5 to 2 hours — just enough to get the early boats back before the rain moved in — and the rain threat kept holiday traffic to a minimum. A good day was had by all involved.
Remember, we have a fun flotilla scheduled most every Saturday, and the Peanut Regattas are every 4th Saturday. Crew is almost always needed and it’s a great opportunity to get some wind therapy — so come join the fun!
The next big event is the Cheeseburger in Paradise party on June 13th. Stay tuned for more information right here — same boat station, same boat channel.
The dock crew has been on site, and hopefully they’re to the point of making continuous progress now.
