Friday Social at 6pm ….(on Friday). We had a good crowd last week — let’s keep it rolling!
A Big Weekend on Tap
Fall Workday — Saturday, September 26 at 8:00 am (no rain make-up date)
Come early for donuts and to get your pick of the work projects. The club will supply donuts, OJ, coffee and bottled water, then pizza at noon. Please note there will be no burning this time, since the county burn ban has been extended.
Projects on the list include:
- Dock hardware and safety equipment on C & D docks
- Trimming small and dead limbs from trees around the property
- Cleaning off and inspecting the Oar House and Bathhouse roofs
- Clearing undergrowth and weeds around the landing and the walkway to A dock
- General cleanup, organizing, and hauling off old debris
- Sanding and painting the bench in front of the bathhouse
There is much more that could be done depending on the number of attendees. Handy tools to bring: hand tools and wrenches, drills and drill bits, loppers and pole saws, weed eaters, leaf blowers, and sanders.
Please remember this isn’t sailing, so SAFETY FIRST — bring gloves, kneepads, safety glasses… and bubble wrap.
